Katia de Peyer $ 92.62
Star Bubinga 3pc Used set. SOLD Dark Green Cordia. Sizes (depth x diameter): 8×12, 12×14, 18×20. Set includes 3 floor tom legs. This has a 12 inch tom that has a hue mismatch compared to the bass and floor tom – see pictures.  The 12 inch tom also has inlays inside and the floor tom and bass drum do not.  Heads have some wear.  Finish is in excellent condition with only a few very minor light scratches.  This is some serious savings on Tama’s Ultra High End Star Series. Tama’s current msrp on these 3 pieces is 10,362 with a typical online sale price new of over 6100.00. Tama’s Star Series are hand-crafted in Japan. Bubinga wood, which TAMA introduced to the market, has become increasingly popular as a drum shell material. Because of their ultra-high density, Bubinga shells provide rich, fat low end as well as deep, dark tones. STAR Bubinga shells are crafted to be much thinner than their Starclassic counterparts. All the shells are 4.5mm thick, including the bass drums and snare drums. These thinner shells allow the Bubinga material to vibrate more freely, which greatly enhances resonance. All STAR Bubinga shells feature 9mm thick Sound Focus Rings (SFR), which provide clear projection and sustain for a distinct sound, as well as reinforcement. The sensitivity and full spectrum tone from Star sets is incredible. Dale’s Drum Shop is an authorized Tama dealer. Contact us anytime with your questions about the gear we offer. About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
