100 Amp Generator Transfer Switch, 120/240-Volt Manual Transfer Switch, 24000W General-Duty Double-Throw Safety Switch, NEMA-3R Enclosure for Outdoor and Indoor

Katia de Peyer $ 16.44
So this is a nice heavy duty metal outdoor rated transfer box an although I haven’t had time to install it yet I got this to put on my power pole to allow for easy power transfer between the grid an a backup generator since we live out in the mountains an somtimes have outages but it’s easy to see that this box is very well made an should easily last many years. As someone with alot of electrical knowledge its obvious that all the internal connection poles are very heavy duty an the box itself is water/weather proof an the simple lug connection design will make for easy installation. It has output lugs to hook your wires to house then 2 inputs one for in this case the grid an another that will go to the generator outlet then the simple manual lever to pick between the two only allowing for one power source at a time even if the grid comes back on while using generator it can’t overload or hurt anything since it requires you to switch between the two with no fancy electronics to worry about malfunctioning. So overall while many people like the high tech electronic auto switches I personally prefer the simple manual transfer since theres no electronics to matniance or worry about an this is the most reliable an basic way to add a backup generator to your home in my opinion making it well worth the money and the cheapest easiest way to add backup power to your home

About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
