To commemorate their heritage in 2024, the Starclassic Mirage will return as a limited edition 50th Anniversary model. Characterized by strong attack and thunderous tone, Starclassic Mirage’s seamless acrylic shells (toms are 5.5mm, BD is 7.5mm) deliver unmatched sounds and stunning looks. In addition to its controlled, punchy and rich sound, acrylic remains unaffected by changing climates, making it perfect for use in any environment. Black Nickel shell hardware contrasts with the clear shells to provide an appearance that will instantly captivate drummers who seek the differentiated look and sound only acrylic drums can provide. Wood bass drum hoops finished in Piano Black gloss lacquer complete the contrasting overall aesthetic. This 5-piece shell pack includes (depth x diameter): 16×22 Bass, 7×10 Tom, 8×12 Tom, 12×14 Floor Tom, 14×16 Floor Tom and 2) MC69 Single Tom Arm and is equipped with Starclassic Performer hardware – Die-cast hoops with Star-Cast mounting system, cushioned floor tom legs, padded claw hooks and notched bass drum spurs. Evans Clear G2 batter heads and TAMA Clear Power Craft resonant heads provide professional tones with transparent vibe. About the Author

About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
