Katia de Peyer $ 92.16
AC0801G Cymbal Set Recognized by their striking brilliant finish, A Custom cymbals feature unique tonal grooves and lower profiles. Together, these attributes produce a smoother, glassier and brighter sounding cymbal with more give when struck. It is these qualities that have made the sound of A Customs particularly sought after in the studio. The rhythmic tones and strong vocals of Gospel music need a bright, cutting sound that is both shimmering and able to be heard. The Gospel Pack features a selection of A Custom Cymbals that are just the right amount of brightness and sweetness that Gospel music demands. This set is ideal for drummers inspired by a higher power. In brilliant finish. 14 in. Mastersound Hi Hats feature a even bolder sound with more cutting and a pronounced “chick” from hammered grooves that vent air quickly. 17 in. Fast Crash is a bright, airy and responsive crash with an extremely short decay. Slightly thinner than the existing Custom Crash, the A Custom Fast Crash explodes with color., 18 in. EFX  The unique laser cut-out EFX pattern adds a dry crash quality to this bright A Custom cymbal. A “must have” add-on for special effect crashes or cymbal stacking. 21 in. 20th Anniversary Ride. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their A Custom cymbal line, they launched the 21” Anniversary Ride. This cymbal is extremely versatile, making it well suited for all types of musical settings. Retaining all of the A Custom cymbal line attributes, the 21” Anniversary Ride features symmetrical hammering, brilliant finish, and medium weight for a balanced sound that is neither too high nor too low. Known for its crisp, sweet sound, this cymbal’s loud, penetrating bell is also ideal for Latin patterns. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the A Custom line, a cream-white logo and special trademark have been added to the cymbal. Made in the U.S.A.

About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
