About this item PROTECTS YOU FROM HARMFUL UV RAYS: Skybed shades give you the highest UV protection rating available (UPF 50 ) so enjoy the outdoors, sunburn free! GOES ANYWHERE: Set it up on the beach, at the park, in the backyard, or at your favorite camping, fishing, or parade watching spot. With this all-purpose pop-up shade tent, you can enjoy great shade for watching family sporting events, relaxing on the beach, or backyard gatherings with friends! GIVES PLENTY OF SHADE: This extra-large 9′ x 9′ shade area can fit 6-8 people. That means plenty of room to spread out or share your shade. With 90” (7’6”) poles, your average NBA Center could easily stand up in it! Our outdoor sun shades are great for couples, families, or whoever you want to share your shade with! BUILT TO LASTAND REPEL WATER: This luxuriously soft microfiber lycra fabric is flexible and durable. If you take care of it, you can be sure it’ll hold up for many future adventures. The fabric is also water resistant, so a light rain will roll off, rather than soak through! KEEPS YOU COOL AND COMFORTABLE: Skybed beach shades give optimal ventilation and stability – The sturdy, open design allows the breeze through to cool you – less wind resistance means more stability – well balanced anchors and poles will help keep the canopy standing when the wind picks up, so you can rest easy. EASY TO PACK AND CARRY the whole kit weighs just 6 pounds and comes in a stylish pouch that fits in carry-on luggage for easy vacation packing and has a shoulder strap for hands-free transport at your destination. QUICK AND EASY SETUP: Skybed shades can be set-up by a single person in under five minutes. The quick-assemble aluminum poles have an elastic that runs through so you just have to straighten it and connect the joints. The Skybed Shade is all one piece with built-in anchors, so just stretch it out, add sand (or smooth stones), and inset the poles! (Pro-tip – in high winds, use the lycra elastics that come with the poles to fasten the pole-head to the sun shade!) About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
