Hakka 2 in 1 Sausage Stuffer and Spanish Churro Maker Machine, 7LB/3L Volume Capacity

Katia de Peyer $ 59.12
I am so glad to have found this item on Walmart.com! I saved more than $25 compared to any other vendor, because this version includes five stuffing horns instead of four and also includes the three churro plates. I make several different sizes of sausages, salamis/pepperoni, and snack sticks, so having all the available horns is important. I also make churros occasionally, and this will make it even easier! There’s definitely a reason Hakka stuffers are so highly rated. The quality of the materials, the build and the finishing touches are superior to other similar machines I’ve seen at restaurant supply stores. The various YouTube reviews I watched were also a deciding factor. **BUT!!** something I have not seen demonstrated in any of the videos or in any written reviews is the fact that the cylinder can be mounted for either left hand (sausage feeds to the right) or right hand cranking (sausage feeds to the left). I’ve only seen the right hand cranking, which is how the machine comes assembled. But you can easily turn the cylinder 180 degrees and be able to crank with your left hand if that’s more convenient for you. I’m right-handed, but tend to do a lot of things ambidexterously, and being able to control the casings as they come off the horn with my right hand is actually easier than I have been doing it with my left hand with my KitchenAid stand mixer (which is also a very slow process). It is definitely one of the best new gadgets I have purchased this year, and will be a joy to use this new machine in my kitchen for years to come! This machine will live and work long beyond my lifetime. As a now-retired caterer, I have plenty of time in the kitchen to make lots of different things for myself, my family, and my friends, and sausage-making is one activity I truly enjoy but had little time for in the last 25 years. If you’re on the fence about which brand of sausage stuffer to buy, Hakka is definitely the only one you should consider. Then you just have to decide how much sausage you plan to make at a time. I tend to make 10 pounds or less, so the 3/7 lb stuffer is perfect for me at this stage of the game.

About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
