The Wave by Freenotes: Sets and Individual Pieces

Katia de Peyer $ 97.86
Description The Wave by Freenotes is a handheld sound healing tool that generates pure harmonic tones and allows the user to physically move its sound waves in a number of unique ways. Each Wave consists of two tones tuned in the interval of a perfect fifth, making for a pleasing harmony with overtones that can be manipulated by spinning, fanning and moving the instrument. These physical movements of the instrument through space create immersive sensory sound experiences for the recipient. The interval of a perfect fifth in which these instruments are tuned is the most harmonious interval between two notes. The 3:2 ratio of frequencies in this interval create an extremely relaxing tonal combination. These vibrations are felt by the player while grasping the handle, but the tones remain unaffected. The Waves come in seven tunings. The lowest note in the pairing is listed first. Listed from lowest pairing to highest (Low AE, CG, DA, EB, FC, GD, High AE). The lowest note, C, is middle C, C4. The highest note is E5. Suitable for beginners and trained musicians Explore your creative musicality No moving parts, no tuning Endorsed by music therapists Ideal for special needs children/adults Sturdy, lightweight, portable Enables all to unlock their creative potential Each wave is crafted from solid 3/16″ thick aluminum. About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
