BISSELL CrossWave All-in-One Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuum 1785M

Katia de Peyer $ 91.38
I had to get some area rugs for my wood floors since my older dog is afraid to walk on them. Since I had the rigs I needed a way to keep them clean and smelling nice. I did some research and decided on this cross wave. I was absolutely amazed how much cat hair (I have a cat too) that was picked up and I had vacuumed before shampooing. This cross wave exceeded my expectations on cleaning. A few things I learned was that you cannot do the rugs and then the wood floors as the floors will be streaky. I had a lighter rug that ended up with a dirt stain from the cleaner. These are not from the cross wave but because I did not realize how dirty the roller got from the other rugs. So, it’s best that if you have a lighter rug to do that first. And change rollers or clean it before you switch to floors or do the floors first. When I cleaned the cross wave I first took everything apart and cleaned it all. Then I put them back and did the self cleaning part. I kept doing it until the water came out clean. I think it was about 4x of putting water in the base holder. I also dumped out the dirty water each time. I really liked this feature as it ensures your machine is nice and clean. As for delivery, that was quick as well and no problems with packaging. Over all this is a great little machine.

About the Author

Katia de Peyer’s first book Dancing with MySelf, Sensuous Exercises for Body, Mind and Spirit (Nucleus Publications, 1991; La Source Press, 2026) introduced her method of inner-centering through movement, hailed by Diane von Furstenberg as a whole new attitude about exercising. Her second book Enjoy Your Healing Power (La Source Press, 2025) is an intuitive, helpful guide for developing our healing power.  A ballet dancer born in Paris who lived in Spain to further her studies in flamenco, Katia moved to New York in the late sixties to start a successful career as a personal trainer. There she met the virtuoso clarinettist Gervase de Peyer in 1976.  She and Gervase married in 1980 and lived for two decades in the US and then in the UK until Gervase’s death in 2017.  Katia continues her work as a writer and healer in London and New York.
